We have developed over 30 basic recipes, with variations for vegetarians and other special dietary requirements. These are drawn upon to produce a monthly menu. Our nutritional policy is designed, taking account of the Department of Health's 'Food Nutritional Guidelines for Pre-School Services'. Great emphasis is placed on the variety of vegetables, proteins and carbohydrates used.
Each meal contains red meat, poultry, fish or vegetable protein, served with pasta, rice or potatoes and includes vegetable combinations from ; carrots, parsnips, turnips (swedes), peas, spinach, broccoli, courgettes, mixed peppers, corn, various beans, lentils, onions, raisins, apricots and tomatoes, Absolutely no salt, bullion, sugar, artificial colours, flavourings, preservatives are used in our preschool or infant meals. We make all our own stocks and sauces from original ingredients, herbs and spices.
